There are innumerable hormones and toxins in our body that become a reason for our increased stress levels.

Among the various ways to get rid of such toxins, one very common and easily accessible method is crying.

Sounds difficult. But it is important to know that the tears that we shed, can help to throw these body chemicals. When the body has less of these toxins, it helps to improve our immune system.

Lot of tears need to be shed before you feel the soothing effect of it.

Babies cry because they need to clear their lungs and mouth.

For us, it is mainly the hormones like oxytocin released while crying that gives a sense of calm and well being.

Sobbing lifts our spirits. You take many quick breaths of cool air This regulates and lowers the temperature of the brain. When the brain is cool, it is more pleasurable than a warm brain. As a result your mood may improve after a sobbing episode.

If you have lost a loved one, then crying helps you to accept it and process it.

You won't believe it, but there are researchers who try to record and analyze the crying patterns.

The study shows that on an average, women cry 5.3 times in a month as compared to 1.3 times men. Scientists also found that the crying sessions normally last for eight minutes.

Every one of us has at different times experienced tears falling when we are extremely happy. There are various other conditions of very strong emotions, such as being scared of something or being very excited, when we experience tears coming out from eyes.

Be thankful for the tears that shed. They help you balance the mind and stay calm and composed.
