Detox: Is it necessary

You must have heard about detoxification. Do you know what it means? You may have tried to detox, and many people have gone to extreme lengths to detox their bodies. Is it a myth? Or is it necessary? What's your opinion about detox?

To detox, we must know the facts behind it.

Our bodies have an excellent system for regular detoxification. Have you heard about the liver? The liver filters whatever enters your body, like food, drugs, alcohol, and anything you consume. The liver makes sure that the toxins are expelled, and it uses oxygen and enzymes to clear toxins from our body, but in some cases, it can't remove toxins. In that case, it combines the toxins with amino acids and expels them with the help of bile and urine. This is the relationship between the kidneys and the liver.

Now it seems that we don't need detoxification at all as the liver is capable of that, and it is helping us remove toxins from the body.

But we all live in some different earth time where many toxins are generated due to many industrial, agricultural processes. We are now exposed to more than ten million of toxins every year, including mercury. Daily more than one lac of toxins are released into the environment. Even newborn babies are not spared as in their umbilical cord there are more than 300 chemical toxins are already present. The most common toxins are mercury, lead, arsenic, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, air pollution, water pollution, medications, food preservatives, colors used in foods, and many others are added due to our lifestyle.

Eating the right kind of food is definitely going to help. You have to exercise, take proper sleep, have nutritious food and must have a positive attitude towards life to be healthy.

How can you achieve this?

1. Eat the food that helps you to detoxify

Foods like vegetables, fruits in natural form, especially non-starchy. Add cruciferous food like kale, broccoli, and cabbage, etc. Consume plant-based protein and organ sulfur like onions, garlic, etc. and healthy fats. You will be amazed to know that toxins stick to organ sulfur like glue and get expelled from the body. Also, plant-based food has phytonutrients that protect against infections, viruses, bacteria, pathogens, microbes, and pests. In other words, phytonutrients help us to stay healthy.

2. The role of water

The water helps to eliminate toxins from our bodies. Drink at least 3 liters of water daily.

3. Organic and clean

Eat organic foods to limit the ingestion of pesticides.

4. Add Green Tea

Take 2 cups of green tea daily. Green tea has antioxidant properties. Avoid the tea bags; just go for leaves.

5. Pass Stool

At least once a day, you must pass stool. If you're facing problems with this, try taking natural laxatives like ground flaxseeds or fix your gut issues. In any case, you have chronic constipation, which means that the digestive system is not working properly, then try Phyto-shakes to improve the digestive system and refrain from fast food, junk food, and refined foods to heal your digestive system.
