(CFS) involves persistent and unexplained extreme fatigue or tiredness, not alleviated by rest, and is known as a debilitating disorder. It may also be known as myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) or systemic exertion intolerance disease (SEID).
• Chronic pain (body, muscles, joints, lower back, neck)
• Morning joint stiffness
• Digestive dysfunction (reflux, bloating, gas, abdominal discomfort, constipation, loose stools)
• Sleep dysfunction
• Brain fog
• Depression and anxiety

• Paresthesias (itching, numbness, tingling, burning, may have crawling sensation on the skin; pain when skin is touched)
• Rashes
• Headaches
• Tooth pain
• Jaw pain (TMJ)
• Hypersensitivity to sound and light
• Chemical sensitivity
• Alcohol intolerance
• Strange smell sensations
• Feeling cold all the time
• Increased allergies
• Weight changes
• Orthostatic hypotension (lightheadedness or dizziness when standing up after sitting or lying down)
• Chronic sore throat
• Enlarged lymph nodes
Individuals with chronic fatigue syndrome exhibit hypersensitivity to even regular levels of exercise and activity. The reasons why this sensitivity manifests in some individuals and not in others remain unknown. Some individuals may have an inherent predisposition to the disorder, which may be triggered by a combination of factors. Possible triggers include:
•Chronic fatigue syndrome can sometimes develop in individuals following a viral disease. Researchers are investigating whether certain viruses, such as Epstein-Barr virus (HHV 6), human herpes virus 6, and mouse leukaemia viruses, might be implicated in triggering the disorder. However, Researchers have not established a conclusive link.
•People with CFS appear to have slightly impaired immune systems, but it remains unclear whether this impairment is sufficient to cause the disorder.
•People with chronic fatigue syndrome may also experience abnormal blood levels of hormones, such as TSH, produced in the hypothalamus, pituitary glands, or adrenal glands. However, the significance of these abnormalities is yet to be fully understood.
