Spinach in Mushroom Cheese Sauce
Preparation Time : 2.5 hours
Cooking Time : 30 minutes
Serves : 4 persons
• Heal Ur Body Herbal Protein Powder 1 Scoop
• Eggs 1 medium
• Milk + Water 1 Cup
• Wheat flour 1 tbsp
• Semolina 1 tbsp
• Besan 1 tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Paper to taste
• For Filling
• Spinach 15 -20 leaves
• Garlic (chopped) 4-5
• Butter 2 tbsp
• Wheat flour 1 tbsp
• Mushrooms (sliced) 4 to 5
• Milk + Water 1/2 cup
• Salt to taste
• Pepper to taste
• Cheese cubs 2
• Red chilli flakes 1/4 tsp
• Chicken (shredded) 20 g or optional
• Chicken salami 1 piece optional
• For Pancakes
• Melted butter 4-5 tbsp
• Onion (rings) 10-12
• Tomatoes (slices) 10-12
• Hot & sweet sauce to garnish
• Tabasco to garnish
For Batter
• Beat egg in a bowl.
• Add the mixture of milk & water. Season it with salt & paper.
• Blend all flours and HealUrBody Herbal Protein Powder into it & mix it with a whisk till smooth mixture. Leave it aside.
Note: Ideally batter should be prepared 2 hours before making pancakes.
• Boil the (washed & finely chopped) spinach in a pan with minimum water, salt, pepper & chopped 1- 2 garlic in it.
• Let the water dry up for the right filling.
• On a low flame, melt butter in a non-stick pan and add chopped 3-4 garlic and sauté till light brown. Then add sliced Mushroom to the pan and sauté for a minute or till it gets tender.
• Take wheat flour and mix it with mushrooms.
• Add milk and water mixture & stir continuously with a whisk to avoid lumps. Season with salt & pepper. Let the sauce cook for a few minutes.
• Add the shredded/grated cheese & red chilli flakes. (Add chicken or salami as per your choice).
• Keep this mushrooms & cheese sauce aside.
• In a non-stick pan 8’ to 9’ pan, put 1/2 tsp of melted butter.
• On slow fire, put 2-3 tbsp of batter and tilt the pan to spread evenly all over the pan.
• Now, on medium fire, let this side of the pancake cook until light brown.
• Turn the side & cook till golden brown.
• Then turn the pancake & make the filling by first putting in the cheese mushroom sauce, spinach chicken/salami) & top up with onion & tomatoes (slices).
• Add hot & sweet sauce for the taste.
• Then fold tightly like a dosa or fold the pancake from all four sides.
Serves hot garnished with grated cheese and a little bit of parsley.
